Randall Powers for Visual Comfort, the Hargett polished nickel wall sconce pairs a slender candlestick-style column with a tapered natural paper shade. Part of the Signature Collection, the sconce is finished with stacked nickel rings at the neck and foot. The column mounts at its midpoint to a 4-inch round backplate, so the fixture reads as a single clean line against the wall.

The mirror-bright finish reflects the colors of the room around it, while the tapered paper shade, cut flat at the back to sit close to the wall, softens the light into a warm, even glow and keeps the bulb out of view.

At 26 inches tall and just 7.5 inches deep, the Hargett sconce suits hallways, entries, and stair landings, and works especially well flanking a mirror, fireplace, bed, or artwork.
