Vintage mid century sculpted teak coffee or cocktail table with woven magazine shelf, attributed to Arne Hovmand Olsen for Mogens Kold and produced in Denmark c. 1960s.
The teak top floats above an organically sculpted afromosia base, with a gently shaped afromosia border that mirrors the curve of the frame. The woven rush shelf provides additional storage space and adds a touch of rusticity to the overall aesthetic of the table.
The wooden portions are newly refinished and the weave remains in excellent original condition. The table is unmarked. Attribution to Hovmand-Olsen is by industry consensus.
