Striking vintage ceramic lion sculpture featuring a dynamic reclining pose and rich glossy brown glaze. The sculptor captured the lion with an expressive, muscular form, flowing mane, extended front paw, and elongated body.
The warm caramel-brown glaze varies beautifully across the sculpted surface, emphasizing the modeling and giving the piece a particularly rich decorative presence.
At over 15 inches long, this is a substantial animal sculpture that works beautifully as a standalone accent on a console, credenza, bookshelf, mantel, or tabletop.
A wonderful choice for eclectic, Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, traditional, or collected interiors.
