I purchased the Donghia Entropy dining table directly from Donghia in 2009 for our loft-style apartment in Chelsea, New York City, where its sculptural form was perfectly at home in the open, contemporary space. It became a true centerpiece—not simply a dining table, but a beautiful piece of design that anchored the room without ever overwhelming it. As my life evolved, the table moved with me, adapting beautifully to each new home and always bringing a touch of glamour to the space. I especially love the contrast between the substantial 5-foot beveled glass top and the dramatic decagonal, faceted pedestal base, whose ten panels draw inward at the center to create its distinctive cinched-waist silhouette. The silver-tone metal has a beautiful moiré finish that creates a subtle wave-like shimmer as it catches and reflects the light, giving the surface remarkable depth and movement. Over the years, three panels of the base have developed areas of mild, warm oxidation and age-related patina, while the glass bears some light surface scratches from life with a much-loved cat. After years of enjoying it, I’m ready for this distinctive Donghia piece to have a new home—and I’d love to see it go to someone who appreciates exceptional design as much as I do. unmarked See less
