His Club 100 is fascinating. … Read more Clayton Lefevre (American, 1921 - 2012) certainly deserved the title of "Artist to the Stars". His Club 100 is fascinating. He would paint original huge portraits of the biggest stars of the day. He would paint two identical portraits, and give one to the star, signed, and have the star sign the second one that he kept for his own collection. I purchased a number of his portraits from his estate. (As far as I know, none of the stars have offered their portraits.) Each of these huge wonderful portraits should be the focal point of a room - a decorator's dream! This particular portrait is Number 32 of the 100 Club.
