Striking vintage pair of sculptural brass seagulls by Penco, featuring sleek, abstract silhouettes captured in flight. The sweeping wings and streamlined forms have a wonderfully graphic Mid-Century Modern quality, making these especially effective as wall-mounted accent pieces.
Each bird retains its original Penco New Bedford, Mass. / Made in Taiwan label, adding desirable maker provenance. Both sculptures have integrated hanging loops on the reverse for wall display.
The warm brass finish has developed an attractive aged patina with natural variations in tone and surface character. A fantastic addition to a Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, coastal, or eclectic interior.
Sold as a pair.
