A rain-soaked Key West street with reflections on the pavement, gingerbread-trim cottages, bougainvillea, palms, a figure with an umbrella and a cyclist. Soft teal, blue and lavender palette. Double matted in cream with a sage-green inner mat and gold liner, in a white-washed wood frame under glass. The original artist bio card is still taped to the back.

Quigley (b. Philadelphia, lived in Connecticut and Hawaii, moved to Key West in 1968) painted since 1963. She won 35 awards, including four Best of Show, was a member of the Florida and Florida Keys Watercolor Societies, and had her work on the cover of the Florida Travel Directory (fall 1987). She was known for her wet-street and reflected-sky water treatments, which is exactly what this piece shows. Great for coastal, tropical or beach-house decor.
