A beautiful pair of double candlesticks in molded pressed glass, dating from the 1930s-1940s. Each piece has a u-shape with two symmetrical, ribbed arms resting on a solid octagonal base. The candle cups, also octagonal in cross-section, are a perfect example of art deco design. The glass, with its slightly smoky tint, offers a beautiful transparency with subtle reflections characteristic of the molded pressed glass of the period. The thick, sturdy base ensures optimal stability.
