A pair of vintage twin-arm crystal candelabra by Val Saint Lambert, both engraved to the base.
Designed in the elegant “Imperial” pattern, each candelabrum rises from a substantial solid crystal base into two sweeping candle arms. The sculptural geometry, clean lines and considerable weight give the pair a strong decorative presence, while the finely cut crystal catches and refracts the light beautifully.
Their relatively low profile is particularly attractive for table styling. Rather than dominating the setting, the crystal sits elegantly below eye level and allows the candle flames themselves to become the visual focus. When lit, the crystal reflects and multiplies the candlelight, creating a warm, sparkling effect across a dining table, console or mantelpiece.
The design combines the traditional brilliance associated with Val Saint Lambert crystal with a more streamlined, modernist aesthetic, making the pair particularly well suited to Art Deco, mid-century and contemporary interiors.
Displayed together, they create an elegant symmetrical arrangement while remaining compact enough not to obscure the surrounding décor or the view across a dining table.
Both pieces are signed Val Saint Lambert to the underside.
Condition:
Very good vintage condition. The crystal remains bright, clear and highly reflective. One candelabrum has a small natural rough area to the base, visible in the photographs. This is minor, does not affect the stability or overall presentation of the piece, and is primarily noticeable on close inspection, on has a tiny chip on the rim, shown in the last pciture.
Light age-related wear may be present consistent with vintage use.
