An original oil painting by American artist Armand Merizon, circa 1970s. Part of the 'Horizons' series, it captures an ethereal view of the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute in Venice. Executed in Merizon’s signature Impressionist style, the work features a luminous palette of soft blue, terracotta, and warm ochre with heavy surface texture. The frame features a gold-leaf finish with ornate repeating patterns and a white linen liner. Signed by the artist.
This grand-scale Venetian landscape would serve as a sophisticated focal point in a traditional study, above a living room mantel, or as a serene addition to a formal dining room.
