A white clapboard farmhouse with a grey gable roof stands on the horizon just left of center, a smaller outbuilding beside it to the right and a dark round mass of trees at its left. The sky is a flat mid-blue with a paler panel at the left edge and a deeper strip down the right. Below the horizon the land fills two thirds of the square canvas as broad fields of green and olive, cut by long straight edges that run back toward the house. A narrow band of ochre crosses the lower left.

The painting measures 36 inches high by 36 inches wide. It is unframed, but ready to hang. Signed by the artist, lower left.
