"Golden Fields" is an acrylic on canvas landscape painting by Justin Wheatley, completed in 2025.
A small white barn with a grey gambrel roof sits on the horizon just left of center, against a flat blue sky. Below it the land fills the lower three quarters of the square canvas as a set of broad flat fields in golds and ochres, divided by long straight edges that run out from the barn toward the bottom corners. Bands of olive green cross the lower edge and the right side. The gold areas are scumbled and mottled rather than even, and the weave of the canvas reads through them.
The painting measures 36 inches high by 36 inches wide. It is unframed, but ready to hang. Signed by the artist, lower left.
Painted in 2025 and acquired directly from the artist. Ships from Denver, Colorado.
