Cumulus clouds fill the upper two thirds of the canvas, built in flat overlapping planes of white, pale gray and blue gray, with bright blue sky showing through the gaps at the upper left and along the right edge. The cloud mass thins into long horizontal shelves as it nears the horizon. A range of mountains runs the full width below, painted in blue and slate with tan and olive on the sunlit slopes and a pale ridge catching light at the center. The bottom third is open high desert, with sagebrush worked in short strokes of sage green, gray and olive and a few darker shrubs standing out. Blue, white and gray carry the picture against muted green.

The painting measures 35 inches high by 60 inches wide. It is framed and ready to hang, and measures 36 by 61 inches framed. The frame is shown in the photographs. Signed by the artist.

Painted in 2026 and acquired directly from the artist. Ships from Denver, Colorado. See less
