decorative french mirror with sculptural scrollwork and original aged character
a striking french wall mirror featuring an elegant, curved silhouette and hand-worked iron frame. The four sweeping side arms finish in delicate scrolls, giving the piece a wonderfully architectural and distinctly french character. The iron has developed a beautiful dark, naturally weathered patina with areas of surface oxidation and wear. Rather than detracting from the piece, these traces of age give it the character and authenticity that make vintage french decorative pieces so appealing. The subtly concave sides create an unusual hourglass-shaped mirror, while the slender ironwork keeps the overall appearance refined and surprisingly light.
