Entryway set designed by Pierre Guariche in the late 1960s as part of his interior design projects for apartments in mountain resorts.
Conceived as a compact wall unit, the set comprises a shelf with a catchall tray, a coat rack with four hooks, a stool, and a wall light with two adjustable spotlights. The dark wood, plywood, and white laminate create a sense of unity among the different elements and echo the materials Guariche used throughout the rest of the design.
Designed to occupy minimal space, the set combines the essential functions of an entryway in a single composition: a place for small everyday items, a place to hang clothes, and a light source.
Provenance: Apartment in the La Mongie - Tourmalet resort, designed by Pierre Guariche.
Publisher: Negroni, circa 1968.
