Large Panthella table lamp designed by Verner Panton for Louis Poulsen, Denmark.
Type 23430, the original large-format Panthella, featuring the iconic hemispherical shade, sculptural trumpet-shaped base and integrated switch.
This example retains its original Louis Poulsen manufacturer labels, including the original type no. 23430 label.
The lamp features the characteristic translucent internal shade support and has developed a warm cream-coloured patina to the base over time.
with its substantial 50 cm shade and approximately 68 cm overall height, this is the large classic Panthella table lamp rather than one of the later smaller versions.
Presented in unrestored vintage condition. A small, almost imperceptible dent is present near the top of the shade.
