Matching pair of Equator pendant lamps designed by Jo Hammerborg for Danish manufacturer Fog & Mørup in 1968.
The sculptural design consists of a series of concentric cylindrical shades that conceal the light source and create a warm, glare-free illumination.
This pair retains the striking original blue lacquered finish with contrasting light interiors. When illuminated, light escapes between the different layers, emphasising the architectural construction of the lamps.
The original lacquer shows age-related scratches, small marks, areas of paint loss and traces of oxidation, particularly on the upper and interior surfaces. The original vintage finish has deliberately been preserved.
A highly decorative matching pair of Scandinavian modern pendant lights with a particularly strong visual presence. This piece has an attribution mark,
