This handsome pair of Frederick Cooper table lamps, dated 2003, brings the company’s signature blend of traditional design and decorative artistry to a classic Chinoiserie form. Their tall, balanced silhouettes and richly patterned surfaces give them a strong presence without feeling overly formal, making them an elegant choice for a living room, bedroom, library, or console table.
Each cylindrical lacquer-style body is decorated with flowering branches and bamboo in warm shades of red, gold, and green against a deep black ground. Raised on coordinating dark wood bases, the lamps are topped with black bell-shaped shades edged in contrasting trim and distinctive foo dog finials. The pair offers beautiful symmetry and a sophisticated mix of color, pattern, and sculptural detail.
