The artist builds the landscape through dense stippling and layered touches of color, creating a richly textured surface of deep blue, teal, violet, burgundy, coral, and warm peach. Against the dark water and vegetation, the luminous white swan becomes the quiet focal point of the composition, with its reflection subtly echoed below.

Executed on Canson Mi-Teintes fine-art paper, a textured artist paper traditionally used for pastel and drawing. The peach-colored paper remains visible along the margins and throughout portions of the composition, functioning as part of the overall palette.
Signed “Calliopy Issackides” in pastel at the lower right.

Presented under glazing in a slim black metal frame with a wide cream mat and narrow peach-toned inner mat that complements the colors of the artwork.

An evocative original work with a romantic, almost dreamlike quality, well suited to an eclectic, traditional, contemporary, or nature-inspired interior.
