A beautifully crafted American Mid-Century Modern table lamp featuring a hand-spun solid brass, hand-hammered body with a warm brushed finish and its original pleated shade. Purchased new in Northern California and documented to have been in our family's home by February, 1974. This lamp has remained in one family for more than 50 years.
Its clean sculptural silhouette reflects the timeless modern aesthetic of the early 1970s, making it equally at home in Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian Contemporary, or Transitional interiors. The lamp retains its original finish with a rich natural patina that collectors appreciate, along with the original pleated shade, which is increasingly difficult to find.
The lamp is exceptionally well made, with quality American electrical components and a heavy, hand-spun brass body. It has been carefully maintained in a smoke-free home and remains in excellent vintage condition.
