As you likely know if you are reading this, Knut Heldner is considered by collectors to be one of the blue chip Louisiana painters, who lived with his artist wife Colette in the French Quarter. Both painted swamp scenes, and also scenes around the French Quarter where they lived; it was a very bohemian place then, full of artists and associated "characters." The painting is 19.5" x 23.75" framed; image area is 15.75" x 20". A real prize for a discriminating collector of Louisiana art! See less
