Massive, floor-standing industrial hardware cabinet constructed in hardwood with a stepped, two-tier form combining dense small-parts storage above and larger drawers below. The upper section is fitted with dozens of shallow drawers, each retaining its original metal pull, label frame, and stenciled category markings including BOLTS, STOVE, CSK., CAP., MACH., and C-BOLTS, indicating organized use in a machine shop, stove works, or industrial supply setting. Below, a projecting work surface separates the upper case from a bank of deeper drawers designed for heavier or bulkier hardware, all housed within a stout, rectilinear base.
The cabinet is built for function first-thick stock, straightforward joinery, and metal-lined drawers intended to withstand decades of abrasive use. The worn stenciling, oxidized pulls, and layered finish tell the story of an actively working shop rather than a showroom piece.
