Designed with an exceptionally elegant long, low profile, the sideboard measures almost two metres wide and combines richly toned teak veneers with contrasting sculpted wooden handles and finely tapered legs.

The front is arranged around two central drawers, each featuring Stonehill’s distinctive elongated sculptural handle with its characteristic eye-shaped centre. These are flanked by cupboard sections on either side, concealed behind ingenious bi-fold / concertina doors. The cupboard doors repeat the same flowing eye-shaped detail vertically, creating a beautifully balanced and immediately recognisable façade.

Opening the cupboards reveals generous storage compartments with internal shelving, making the sideboard highly practical for dining ware, glassware, records, books or general household storage. The central drawers provide additional storage, with one retaining a divided and partially felt-lined interior.

The combination of the warm teak grain, gently rounded top edges, sculptural handles and slender tapered legs gives the piece a distinctly Scandinavian-influenced appearance while remaining an excellent example of British Mid-Century Modern design.

The sideboard has undergone a full restoration, carefully reviving the timber and bringing out the richness and variation of the original grain while preserving the design and character of the piece.
