The table features a plank top, single drawer decorated with distinctive hand carved detailing and a simple wrought iron handle, thick supports with a traditional pegged construction and scalloped stretchers which add character to the design.

with its warm, aged timber, irregular hand-crafted details and sturdy construction, the table has the character of traditional vernacular furniture. Reminiscent of rustic furniture from the French Alpine or Spanish mountain regions, although its precise origin is unknown.

Dating from approximately the mid-20th century, this is a vintage rather than antique piece.

Good vintage condition with patina, signs of age and use. Structurally stable and ready to use. There have been some later repairs to strengthen the table.
