Pair of armchairs in dyed and polychrome braided rattan, not plastic lacing. This is a French artisanal technique from the 1950s, much rarer.
• Rattan frame, seat/back/armrests in painted and then hand-braided rattan strips
• Fir green/beige/caramel pattern, this is the Côte d'Azur style of 1950-55. This type of armchair was found in the hotels of Saint-Tropez. There is, in fact, a pair of 1950s Audoux Minet rattan armchairs from a Saint-Tropez hotel that is exactly in this style.
• This is the work of the school of Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet, highly sought-after French designers.
