The machine features a … Read more Exceptional original wag typewriter dating from circa 1935, manufactured by wanderer werke a.g. In schönau–chemnitz, germany. The machine features a striking glossy black enamel body with extensive polished chrome detailing and original gold wag lettering. Its streamlined geometric form and highly engineered mechanical construction give it a distinctive art deco and streamline moderne character. The original wanderer werke a.g. Schönau–chemnitz marking is visible on the front of the machine, together with the wag branding on the carriage and body. The four-row keyboard features the original round keys, while the rear reveals the intricate mechanical construction of the typebars, springs, levers and other components. Beyond its original function as a writing machine, this piece works exceptionally well as a decorative industrial design object, suitable for a private collection, study, library, office or sophisticated interior.
