The black-and-white photograph depicts the Christ’s College 2nd Lent Boat of 1937, with the crew formally posed in their distinctive rowing blazers before an impressive college entrance. Particularly appealing is the original presentation surrounding the photograph, with the Christ’s College name, hand-colored heraldic crest, “2nd Lent Boat 1937” inscription, and individual crew names and weights incorporated into the mount.

Founded in 1505, Christ’s College is one of the historic constituent colleges of the University of Cambridge.
