Circular double-sided porcelain advertising sign for the Polk Sanitary Milk Company of Indianapolis, Indiana. The colorful design features a Jersey cow against a royal blue background, surrounded by red lettering reading "Polk's Milk Always Ahead."
The distinctive cow graphic and "Always Ahead" slogan are attributed to Polk manager Samuel O. Dungan. Bold color, detailed lithographic-style artwork, and a compact circular form make this an appealing example of early American dairy advertising.
The sign has mounting holes positioned around its perimeter for hanging or bracket installation.
