This is a masterfully executed contemporary figurative bronze sculpture titled "First Violin" by the acclaimed Southern California artistic duo Ron & Sheila Ruiz. Created in 2003, this striking, exhibition-grade statement piece is a highly exclusive limited-edition casting, numbered 25 of only 80 ever produced. It depicts a seated, focused violinist completely immersed in his performance, balanced elegantly upon a bronze chair. Every aspect of the musician's tuxedo, from the crisp lapels to the formal coattails flowing behind the chair, is sculpted with clean, stylized lines that exude sophistication.
This piece features excellent, verified provenance inscribed directly into the metal. The reverse side of the coattails bears the artist's incised signature "Ruiz © '03" alongside the hand-inscribed limited-edition fraction "25/80".
