Carved entirely by hand, the seat and imposing backrest are hewn from a single solid block of wood, allowing the natural character of the timber to remain at the heart of the piece.

The substantial back rises organically from the seat in a wonderfully irregular, almost monolithic form, with softly rounded edges and subtle asymmetries that reveal the hand of the maker. Rather than being shaped into perfect geometric lines, the wood has been allowed to retain much of its natural character, resulting in a silhouette that feels both architectural and entirely organic.
