Early 20th Century Hand Carved French Alpine Rustic Stool
A wonderfully primitive early 20th-century stool sourced from the French Alps. Hand-carved from solid wood, the piece features a thick, irregular slab top supported by three simply hewn legs. The visible tool marks, knots, variations in tone and beautifully worn surface speak to its age and handmade construction.
Its sculptural silhouette and rich, timeworn patina give it an understated presence that works beautifully as a small side table, occasional stool, or decorative accent.
