A wonderfully aged vintage 48-star American flag by Lexington, retaining its original printed maker's mark along the reinforced hoist:

The flag features a deep navy blue canton with 48 white stars and separately constructed red and white stripes. The 48-star American flag was the official flag of the United States from 1912 until 1959, giving this configuration an immediate connection to the first half of 20th-century American history.
This example has particularly appealing vintage character. The whites have mellowed to a warm cream, while the reds and blue remain strong but softened with age. Visible toning and scattered wear throughout give the textile the authentic appearance prized in vintage Americana.
At approximately five feet long, it has substantial presence when displayed on a wall while remaining manageable for residential interiors. The surviving Lexington maker's mark is an especially attractive detail and should be displayed or documented when the flag is framed.
Dimensions: approximately 5 ft W × 3 ft H (60" W × 36" H), as originally marked by the manufacturer.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with age-related character including toning, fading, creasing and general textile wear. Localized wear and small areas of fabric distress are visible, particularly within the blue canton. Original Lexington maker and size markings remain visible on the hoist.
