beautifully proportioned vintage Louis XVI style side table that brings together the restrained ornamentation and architectural symmetry of French Neoclassical design. The table is crowned by a substantial round marble top, richly figured with dramatic gray and warm brown veining across a soft cream ground. Each natural variation in the stone gives the surface a distinctive decorative character.
The warm-toned wood base is composed around a rounded apron supported by four slender turned legs with finely articulated ring details. A full circular lower shelf echoes the shape of the marble top while adding another graceful horizontal element to the composition.
