Rather than filling the entire surface with repeating geometric ornament, the weaver created a broad, quiet field surrounding a slender rectangular panel that runs longitudinally through the center. This unusual arrangement gives the rug a refined architectural quality and directs attention toward the intricate linear decoration contained within the central panel.

Inside the panel, numerous small branch-like forms, stylized leaves, angular stems, delicate botanical elements, and abstract linear symbols are arranged in an informal sequence. A dark line extends through the center, visually separating the two sides while strengthening the long vertical axis of the design. The motifs appear almost like drawn or written marks, producing a graphic, calligraphic quality that is particularly striking when viewed against the simplicity of the surrounding field.

The palette is beautifully restrained, combining warm camel, sandy beige, muted tan, pale gold, taupe, soft brown, dusty rose, faded salmon, subtle gray-green, deep chocolate brown, and touches of red.
