Each column is fluted along the shaft, with gilded reeding running the full height between the flutes.

The columns rise from a stepped, square-molded base with a shaped, scalloped underside, and terminate in a circular plateau top rimmed in gilt. A gilded torus band marks the transition between shaft and base, echoing the gilt edge of the top.

The painted surface shows a chalky, matte finish typical of Gustavian decorative work, with the gilding applied in a contrasting warm tone against the pale ground. Sold as a pair, the columns are well suited as plinths for sculpture, planting, or lighting, and read comfortably within both classical and Scandinavian interiors.
