Vintage remploy teak sideboard|1950s–1960s|mid-century british design. A superb mid-century vintage teak sideboard by remploy, dating from around the 1950s–1960s, showcasing the understated elegance and practical design that made british mid-century furniture so enduring. This beautifully proportioned sideboard features a wonderfully asymmetrical layout, with a stack of four horizontal drawers on the left and a spacious double-door cabinet on the right. The contrast between the open drawer arrangement and generous cupboard storage gives the piece a particularly interesting architectural appearance. The four drawers are finished with distinctive golden brass-toned metal handles, adding a subtle touch of warmth and glamour against the rich natural teak. The sideboard is raised on elegant angled wooden legs, giving it that characteristic mid-century lightness and stylish scandinavian-influenced silhouette. Inside the double-door cabinet is a removable internal section designed for lp records, making this an especially appealing piece for vinyl collectors. The lp storage can easily be removed if you prefer to use the cupboard for general storage. The beautifully grained teak has a wonderful warm vintage character, while the clean lines, tapered proportions and asymmetrical composition give the piece a timeless retro appeal. About remploy.
