It is a later version from cassina's "i maestri" collection, produced in 1973 and no longer in production.

the chair is crafted from ebonized ash and features a tall, sculptural backrest with a characteristic oval finial, a design element that mackintosh considered both a defining and symbolic feature.

the backrest is constructed of vertical panels and slender rods, creating a striking, graphic silhouette. The seat is upholstered in the original blue-black crine fabric (horsehair).
