The elaborately crafted piece is finished in gold … Read more An exceptional freestanding coat rack made of cold-forged iron, dating from 1956. The elaborately crafted piece is finished in gold and features numerous hand-carved volutes, spirals, and twisted iron bands.

At its center is a tall, rectangular mirror with a rounded top and a beveled edge, with a shelf below. Numerous coat hooks with dark finials provide space for coats, jackets, and hats. An umbrella stand with a removable drip tray is integrated into the lower section.

The symmetrically arranged wrought iron elements and the central X-motif of twisted iron with an ornamental rosette are particularly distinctive. While the design incorporates Art Nouveau elements, it is clearly a work from the 1950s.

Condition:
The coat rack is in authentic vintage condition with age-related patina and signs of wear. Traces of the past decades are also visible on the mirror and the gold-colored finish, preserving the original character of the piece.
