A rare and highly distinctive bauhaus tea infuser, designed by christian dell circa 1924 for the metal workshop of the bauhaus in weimar, germany. Constructed in silver-plated brass, the elegant modernist design features a perforated cylindrical tea chamber with a detachable bayonet-style closure, a slender rod handle and a simple circular disc terminal. The exceptional geometric simplicity and reduction of form embody the progressive design principals of the early bauhaus period. The piece retains an attractive, original aged patina with visible wear and tarnishing consistent with age and use. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
