This pair of wall sconces was produced in italy, attributed to veca (veca s.r.l., osnago), during the 1960s/70s heyday of italian colored glass lighting. Each sconce is built from two mirror-set panels of thick, faceted cobalt-blue glass in an organic, blade- or leaf-like silhouette, held together by a brass crossbar secured with hexagonal brass bolts. The sconces mount to the wall via a square nickel-plated backplate and each house a single e14 socket. When lit, the deep saturated blue glass refracts the light beautifully, throwing a dramatic sculptural glow across the wall. A confident, collectible pair for anyone building an italian space age or murano-adjacent glass lighting collection. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
