A fine English 19th century polished steel fire basket by Thomas Elsley of London, with scrolled fret set between shaped cabriole legs in the Queen Anne manner. Polished steel shaped front bars with elegant knop finials uppermost and an ornate back plate. Height of burning area: 9″. Restored. Circa 1890 This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
