Originally intended for storing jams, this type of cabinet can now be used as a small sideboard, bar cabinet, or entryway cabinet. Its single door is adorned with a striking carved design of concentric circles, giving it a graphic and sculptural presence. Geometric friezes, carved stiles, and a scalloped bottom rail complete its neo-rustic aesthetic. A long decorative metal keyhole accentuates the front. Furniture of this style was often found in the French or Spanish Basque Country. Its compact proportions and the warm hue of the oak allow it to blend easily into a brutalist, modern rustic, or eclectic interior. In good overall condition, with a beautiful patina and a few signs of wear consistent with its age. See less
