Set of six teak dining chairs, made in Denmark in the 1960s.
Teak wood with a satin shellac finish.
Black upholstery fabric with vertical stripes.
Restored:
The chemical lacquer was carefully removed, and shellac was applied to the open-pored wood. Shellac is a natural raw material and the best surface treatment a piece of furniture can have—it lasts for centuries and is moisture-resistant. For removing scratches, you can use a ready-made shellac polish, available commercially.
The chairs were reupholstered with an unused, original vintage fabric—a durable, high-quality material.
The chairs were carefully restored; to preserve the original patina, not all signs of wear on the wood were completely removed. This piece has an attribution mark,
