Dimensions: height 13 cm, width 51 cm, depth 45 cm.

The basket is handwoven from warm natural bamboo, with a fine open weave that gathers beautifully towards the centre. The thick wrapped rim gives the piece a robust, artisanal character, while the light and airy structure reflects its use as a harvest, herb or drying basket.

with its elegant low shape and warm honey-brown colour, this piece is highly decorative today. Beautiful as a tray for textiles, paper goods, dried flowers or small objects, but also as a standalone wabi-sabi accent on a table, plinth or low cabinet.

The basket is in beautiful vintage condition, with natural signs of use, light wear and small irregularities consistent with age, material and handcraft.

An atmospheric Japanese utilitarian object in which simplicity, texture and craftsmanship come together beautifully. See less
