Triangular pediment panels of this type are integral to classical Thai Buddhist temple architecture.
Heavily styled after a traditional temple gable or door trim, in Western home decor, it is commonly mounted to the wall and used as a king-size bed headboard or wall decoration.
Features gold leaf gilding, mirrored glass inlay, and original lacquer wear.
Features intricate lai kwan open work carving with bilateral symmetry, serpent deity finials at the base corners, and a flame-form finial at the apex. The craftsmanship demonstrates master-level skill in Thai decorative wood carving.
