The drawing is glued on a brown paper (22.5 x 28.5 cm). The latter shows tears at the edges. The artwork is in good conditions except for waving paper, foxing, and little tears. Original titled on lower center: Barrozza Costumi di Roma The scene represents the barrozza, an animal-drawn chariot characteristic of the Roman countryside of XIX century. The oxen that pull it carry an effigy with the virgin Mary. This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago by an artist who has died requires a licence for export regardless of the work’s market price.
