One depicts a wine glass, bottle, apple and cherry; the other a silver coffee pot with pear and cherries. Both are painted on textured canvas against a deep black ground, with tight, controlled brushwork on the glass and metal and warm highlights on the fruit.

The reverse of each frame carries the original "Taller La Costa — Hecho en México" stamp with consecutive inventory numbers, 2436 W 224 and 2436 W 225, confirming they were painted, framed and catalogued as a pair.

Housed in their original carved giltwood frames with chip-carved outer borders and natural linen liners. The dark grounds and gilt frames read beautifully in a dining room, library or gallery wall, and the small scale makes them easy to place.
