A charming vintage original painting signed “Carmen”, depicting the façade of a country house surrounded by lush greenery and a colorful flower garden.
Rendered in a detailed naïve or folk-art style, the composition centers on an arched dark doorway framed by flowering plants, lace-curtained windows, and mature trees. Small touches of red, yellow, and white throughout the garden contrast beautifully with the restrained cream and deep green palette of the architecture and landscape.
The work has an intimate, nostalgic quality characteristic of decorative folk painting, with careful attention given to the flowers, foliage, architectural details, and patterned curtains. Signed Carmen at the lower right.
Presented in its vintage cream and gold-tone frame with a wide coordinating surround.
