A striking vintage abstract sculpture hand-carved from what appears to be olive wood, mounted on a substantial natural stone base.
The sculpture features a remarkably fluid, organic composition, with a long slender stem supporting an intricate openwork form of sweeping curves, pierced openings, and elongated projections. The artist has taken advantage of the natural movement, knots, and tonal variations of the wood, allowing its distinctive grain to become an integral part of the composition.
