Finished in a vibrant glossy red glaze with hand-painted green, yellow and white decoration, including abstract geometric and linear motifs across the body. The elongated arched neck, tapered legs and compact body give the horse a distinctly playful yet sophisticated mid-century silhouette.

The graphic decoration and stylized form reflect the experimental spirit of postwar Italian ceramics, with a design language reminiscent of the work of Roberto Rigon, Aldo Londi and Bitossi.
